10/12/11- Clara String Quartet Concert

 

When: Wednesday, October 12th- 7:30pm
Where: Performance Arts Center at Rockwell Hall (Buffalo State College)
What: The Clara String Quartet will perform Beethoven Opus 59 no. 1, and the Ravel String Quartet. Reception to follow in the lobby after the performance.

11/2/11- Amelie Fradette performs as part of the Buffalo Chamber Players Concert Series

What: Music of Latin America. The entire cello section of the BPO will perform Bachianas Brasileiras no.5 by Heitor Villa-Lobos, which is a piece written for 8 cellos and soprano.

11/19/11 and 11/20/11- Amy Glidden performs with the BPO

 

When: Saturday, November 19th – 8 p.m. and Sunday, November 20 – 2:30 p.m.
Where: Kleinhans Music Hall
What: Amy Glidden (first violinist of the Clara String Quartet) performs Prokofiev’s 2nd Violin Concerto with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. The BPO will play Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4. on the second half of the concert.
